Un professeur d’économie dans un lycée annonce fièrement qu’il n’a jamais vu un seul de ses élèves échouer, à l’exception d’une année, où ce fut la classe entière qui a connu l’échec.
Cette classe était entièrement convaincue que le socialisme était une idéologie qui fonctionnait, et que personne n’était ni pauvre ni riche !
Un système égalitaire parfait.
Le professeur dit lors :
« OK donc, nous allons mener une expérience du socialisme dans cette classe. A chaque contrôle, on fera la moyenne de toutes les notes et chacun recevra cette note. Ainsi personne ne ratera son contrôle et personne ne caracolera en tête avec de très bonnes notes. »
Après le 1er contrôle, on fit la moyenne de la classe et tout le monde obtint un 13/20.
Les élèves qui avaient travaillé dur n’étaient pas très heureux au contraire de ceux qui n’avaient rien fait et qui, eux, étaient ravis.
A l’approche du 2ème contrôle, les élèves qui avaient peu travaillé en firent encore moins tandis que ceux qui s’étaient donné de la peine pour le 1er test décidèrent de lever le pied et de moins travailler. La moyenne de ce contrôle fut de 9/20 ! Personne n’était satisfait ..
Quand arriva le 3ème contrôle, la moyenne tomba à 5/20. Les notes ne remontèrent jamais, alors que fusaient remarques acerbes, accusations et noms d’oiseaux, dans une atmosphère épouvantable, où plus personne ne voulait faire quoi que ce soit si cela devait être au bénéfice de quelqu’un d’autre.
A leur grande surprise, tous ratèrent leur examen final. Le professeur leur expliqua alors que le socialisme finit toujours mal car, quand la récompense est importante, l’effort pour l’obtenir est tout aussi important, tandis que, si on confisque les récompenses, plus personne ne cherche ni n’essaie de réussir.
